The field of Medicine investigates the causes of diseases, diagnoses them, and provides appropriate treatments. Ancient Egyptians had a distinguished medical system that significantly influenced later medical sciences. Medicine evolved notably during the time of the Greeks and Romans, led by eminent physicians and scientists like Hippocrates, Galen, and others. The Islamic Arab civilization also played a role in the development of Medicine through the research of many whose names are engraved in medical books to this day, such as Ibn Sina, Ibn al-Nafis, Al-Zahrawi, Abu Bakr al-Razi, and others. The invention of the microscope and the advancements in chemistry, genetics, and laboratory technology during the Renaissance era contributed to the emergence of modern human Medicine.

The study of Medicine prepares individuals who directly assist in improving the quality of patients’ lives. Students are trained to provide high-quality services to patients and find solutions to future health problems through their scientific research as specialized scientists. Medical faculties are equipped with hospitals for professional training, research, and application, in addition to advanced medical research centers that provide students with opportunities to interact with scientists and clinical experts through practice and application.
