الهندسة الميكانيكية

Mechanical engineering is one of the oldest and broadest branches of engineering, covering various production and development fields, including manufacturing, analysis, and maintenance. It began in the late 18th century with the invention of the steam engine and the development of many machines. It was officially recognized as a discipline in 1847 with the establishment of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in Birmingham.

Mechanical engineering also contributes to the construction of modern industrial society by applying physical laws and material laws, studying forces, motion, and energy in all their forms and effects on objects, and designing machines, systems, and processes using the principles of motion and energy. It specializes in designing, manufacturing, operating, and installing engines and developing machinery or devices used in various sectors. Therefore, this specialization relates to multiple aspects of life, including aerospace industries, aviation, energy conversion industries, and other industries that play a significant role in the civilization progress of humanity. Through studying mechanical engineering, students delve into topics such as robotics, design, production, dynamics of mechanical vehicles and their control, transportation systems, thermal energy conversion systems, heat transfer, engines, environment, and other materials.
