majors Economy

Economics is one of the most important management specializations that emerged to analyze and study the volume of production and consumption movements in countries, whether for goods or services. It predicts the outcomes and implications of government and business decisions by economists and stock market professionals, in addition to the effects of those decisions on populations across various social strata. It has multiple definitions, as it can be defined as the study of how available resources are used or the study of making economic decisions while predicting the resulting outcomes. This is just an example, as there are many other definitions.

Branches of Economics

It is divided into two branches, partial and total economics, each focusing on a different aspect. Partial economics, “Microeconomics,” deals with the behavior of individuals across various categories, such as consumers, businessmen, traders, and farmers. The other branch, macroeconomics, focuses on income and revenues, the overall employment rate, and investment movements.

Importance of Economics

Its importance lies in being the basis of a country’s progress and an essential criterion for determining the soundness of the decisions made by presidents and officials. Economists work with politicians in each country to establish economic systems that suit its strength and current situation, considering the size of its investments and workforce. Therefore, Turkish universities design diverse study programs and adopt advanced educational methods based on research, discussion, and participation in economic conferences to follow up on the most critical challenges and their impact on society.
