About Bosphorus University
Established: 1863
Bosphorus University is located in Istanbul and was founded by the inventor Cyrus Hamlin and Christopher Robert. It is the first American educational institution established outside the United States. In 1971, the university was restructured by Dr. Everton, who was the president at that time. It is currently one of the renowned universities in Turkey, particularly in the field of scientific research. This university has had a significant impact on modernizing political, social, economic, and scientific thought throughout Turkey. It was donated to be a public university for the Republic of Turkey in the early seventies.
