About City University of Malaysia
City University’s origins date back to 1984, when it was known as Petaling Jaya Community College (PJCC), offering American certificate programs and technical training. It was later renamed “City University College of Science and Technology.” In 2016, it attained university status recognized by the Ministry of Higher Education (HOHE) as “City University of Malaysia.” The university received a very good rating in the Malaysian Higher Education Ministry’s institutional excellence assessment.
City University is one of Malaysia’s oldest private higher education institutions, with a rich history in preparing students for the American Degree Program (ADP). It offers numerous joint educational programs with major universities in Australia, the UK, and the USA, alongside recognized and accredited courses by professional organizations. The university comprises approximately eight faculties, including engineering, arts and design, education, business management, and information technology.
