About Inonu University
The Turkish Parliament approved the establishment of Inonu University on January 28, 1975, with the Presidential assent given on March 25, 1975. The university opened its doors to students and began its educational activities at the start of the 1976-1977 academic year. Notably, until 1984, the university provided its educational services in Malatya’s current Science High School building.
Inonu University, a public institution, is located in Malatya and comprises approximately 13 faculties, 4 institutes of higher education, the Turgut Ozal Medical Center, and 19 research and application centers. The campus is about 10 kilometers away from the city center and has around 30,000 students from both inside and outside Turkey.
