About Harran University
Founded in 1992, Harran University initially started as an institution for higher industrial education and was affiliated with the Faculty of Agriculture of the University of Tigris in Diyarbakir in 1978. On July 9, 1992, pursuant to Parliamentary Law No. 3837, Harran University was established, and its colleges and educational departments were expanded. On July 29, 2007, pursuant to Parliamentary Law No. 26597, a large number of educational colleges were established, growing to 12 colleges from the original three. The university also boasts numerous laboratories and 15 research centers.
Harran University features a large campus with vast green areas, restaurants, cafes, a gym, and a free swimming pool for students. There are numerous halls designated for public student conferences, and the campus is bordered by student housing for both male and female students, equipped with all services that create a suitable environment for study.
