Garanti Bank was established in Ankara in 1946. 

As of March 31, 2015, with total consolidated assets amounting to 260 billion Turkish Lira, it became the second-largest private bank in Turkey.

The bank offers a full range of banking facilities on both individual and investment levels. In addition to its partnerships in the Netherlands, Russia, and Romania, the bank provides life insurance, personal financing, retirement services, and a comprehensive range of advanced financial services through its subsidiaries in financial investments and portfolio management.

As of March 31, 2015, the bank had 995 branches across Turkey. 

It also maintains six branches in Luxembourg, one in Malta, and representative offices in London, Düsseldorf, and Shanghai. With over 4,163 ATM points and over 19,000 employees, the bank serves over 13 million customers.
