About Ege University
Founded in 1955, Ege University operates on a system of creative and collaborative education, hosting over 3200 professors and lecturers within its faculty. In the academic year 2014-2015, approximately 57,000 students enrolled at the university.
Ege University is ranked among the top 500 universities in the world, and according to the Turkish Center for Placement, Assessment, and Selection (ÖSYM) in 2015, it was ranked among the top 10 universities in Turkey.

The university is located in the Bornova district of İzmir, on a campus spanning 3450 hectares surrounded by a natural environment, fostering a serene atmosphere that supports creativity among students. The campus includes 8 student housing buildings that accommodate more than 2000 students.
