Benha University is one of the prestigious Egyptian universities. The history of the university’s establishment dates back to 1911 with the founding of its first college, the College of Agriculture. In 1976, a decision was made to establish a branch of Zagazig University in Benha, which initially included a few colleges, such as the College of Agriculture, College of Commerce, Shoubra Faculty of Engineering, and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. After several years, a presidential decree was issued in 2005, making Benha University an independent institution. The university has continued to develop and grow, even establishing a branch in the city of El Obour, which began admitting students in the academic year 2019/2020.
