In the land of gold lies Aswan University, one of the distinguished public universities of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The history of Aswan University dates back to 1973 when it was initially established as a branch of Assiut University. In 1995, it became affiliated with South Valley University, and it wasn’t until 2012 that it gained independent status as Aswan University.
