About Assiut University

Assiut University is one of the oldest universities in Egypt. It is the fourth university established in the country and the first in Upper Egypt, located in Assiut Governorate. The university dates back to 1952 under the name Mohamed Ali University, later renamed Assiut University. It began officially receiving students and operating in 1957. Assiut University is distinguished as one of the top Egyptian universities, dedicated to enhancing and developing the quality of education and offering programs aligned with contemporary scientific updates to prepare distinguished graduates with advanced knowledge and skills.
