About Bülent Ecevit University
Bülent Ecevit University is one of the historical public universities that was established in the early days of the Turkish Republic in 1924 as the Mining Engineering Office to meet the state’s needs in mineral exploration in the resource-rich city of Zonguldak. On July 11, 1992, several faculties were added, and it was directly linked to Hacettepe University in Ankara and named Karalmas University. On April 11, 2012, it was renamed Bülent Ecevit University. The university includes 13 faculties, 3 graduate institutes, 7 industrial education institutes, and 30 scientific research centers, along with a large government laboratory and a scientific library, in addition to a music institute.
