Geographical Location and Capital
Georgia is located in the Caucasus region, bordered to the north and northeast by Russia, with the Caucasus Mountains forming a natural barrier between them. To the east and southeast, it is bordered by Azerbaijan, to the south by Armenia and Turkey, and to the west by the Black Sea. The capital of Georgia is Tbilisi, which is the largest city in the country and is traversed by the Kura River.
